Capay Valley Bed & Breakfast : Policies
ALCOHOL
Under aged drinking is not allowed and we will card anyone we feel is under aged. If you are contributing to the delinquency of a minor, you will be asked to leave. We also reserve the right to call authorities.
BREAKFAST
We deliver breakfast to our cottages at no additional charge; otherwise we will fix breakfast trays for you in the main building.
CANCELLATION FEES
Cancellations are subject to a $35 non-refundable processing fee. If you cancel within 72 hours of arrival you will be charged the first nights reservation.
CASH PAYMENTS
We do accept cash payment, but you must have proper identification and a credit card for any damages that might occur. If you do not have a credit card we may choose to charge you a refundable deposit.
CHECK-IN
Begins at 4pm, if you would like an early check-in, please check with the innkeeper to see if it is possible. If you are checking in past 10pm please let us know as our office closes at that time and we usually do not check-in guests after that.
DRUGS
We are a drug free property and if you are caught smoking or using drugs you will be asked to leave. The authorities may be called. You will forfeit your reservation regardless of your reasons.
EARLY CHECK OUT
Departing before the scheduled check out date will constitute a cancellation and monies will not be refundable.
GUESTS/FRIEND VISITS
Paying guests are always welcome at the inn. If you would like to bring a non-paying guest on property you must obtain permission from the owners/innkeepers and they are subject to a $25 property use fee. Failure to obtain permission could result in immediate removal from the property and forfeiture of your entire reservation fee.
MINIMUM STAY
We have a two day minimum stay, but are flexible from week to week and realize that not all people can stay two or three days.
PETS
Only registered paid guests are allowed to bring a pet. We only accept small dogs at this time. Pet owners must show shot record, vet visit and grooming papers. There is a $25 non-refundable fee and the dog must be less than 10#. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed to be left alone in the cottage for more than 30 minutes. We offer dog sitting for $5 per hour. If your dog barks at all, you will be asked to remove the dog and forfeit your reservation. If a guest brings a dog on the property without permission, they will be charged the first nights reservation and asked to leave the premises and never return.
RATES
Rates are figured on two-person occupancy. We do not refund any monies if you are one person. We also do not rent by the hour a reservation is considered from 4pm to 11am the next day.
RECYCLE
We are doing our best to go green. Please do not throw your bottles and cans in the garbage. If you are in the main building we have a bin next to the icemaker just outside the back door. If you are in the cottages please place your cans and bottles on the kitchenette sink or in a box/bag under the sink. We appreciate your contributions.
RESERVATIONS
All reservations must be made over the phone and cancellations must me made by phone as well. We accept Visa and Master card.
RESERVATION CHANGES
Changing the number of days or arrival day is the same as a cancellation and will be subject to either a processing fee or in the case of a reduction of rooms 50% of the reservation fee.
ROOMS
All of our rooms are private. We have two rooms in the main building and two, two bedroom cottages.
SMOKING
All rooms are non-smoking, but guests are allowed to smoke outside on their porches. We are in a high fire area, so please be careful. If you smoke in your room we will charge you a $100 smoking fee.
SPECIALS
We post weekday specials every week. They are usually a best room option, which means, if we have a cottage you will be booked at the posted special rate. Check the icon on the front page.
SPECIAL EVENT/HOLIDAYS
All special events are prepaid and non-refundable. There are special event fees and requirements for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, birthdays etc. Cleaning fees will be charged and are subject to change according to the local sanitation department.
