Capay Valley Bed & Breakfast

Dear Guest:

On behalf of Kevin and myself, I would like to welcome you to our Bed and Breakfast, our ranch and all that is my family's home and dream. We hope your stay at our ranch will be enjoyable and relaxing.

Kevin and I will be available by phone 530.796.3738 or walkie talkie at any given time. Just check the reception door for our location.

We are a smoke-free house. We appreciate your consideration. There are trays for your regards outside, move them around if you like. Please remember that there is extreme fire danger in this part of the country, so please keep ashes and butts in the trays.

Our pool is seasonal and open for your convenience during your stay. Pool hours are 8 am to 10 pm, Monday through Saturday. We need to clean the pool and check the chemical levels twice a day. You may stay at the pool during the routine checks. The pool has a light just outside the south gate, if you need it please turn it on.

For your enjoyment, we have many different games. Some are in a basket on the fireplace hearth, others are in the living room closet. Help yourself. We have a croquet set (play in the grassy area) and the horseshoe pit is northeast of the pool, next to the Bocci pit. Badminton is south of the pool.

Hiking and biking trails are marked, please stay on the paths, we have seen snakes in this area. Bike rental is $20 for four hours (property use only). Horseback riding lessons, round-ups, cattle drives and other equine events are close. Prices vary and we need some advance notice, but the company who provides them is open 365 days a year. Farm and winery tours are available, some are seasonal but most are available all year.

If you need to use our telephone to make a local call, please feel free. Cellphones don't work very well here. If you have a calling card, we would greatly appreciate you using it for long distance.

Sundries can be purchased at the Brooks mini-mart 2 miles northwest of us. Nine miles east of Esparto, there is a larger grocery store. Guinda has a Mexican restaurant called "Ibarras." Capay has a bar that serves light faire and Esparto has a sub shop, snowcone stand, burger barn and pizza restaurant. Most of the cooking is casual and country. If you are staying on a weekday, Kevin and I can bring you Chinese food from Woodland that's very good. It is next to Raley's shopping (28 minutes from here.) If you want to drive, Vacaville has numerous restaurants and they are very good. Cache Creek Casino has recently opened a number of restaurants.

We hope you enjoy your stay here at Capay Valley Bed and Breakfast. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make you feel more comfortable.

Sincerely,

INNKEEPERS
